Privacy
Nyans grades your images on your own computer and never uploads them. This page says what does leave your computer, why, and who receives it.
Who is responsible
David HJ Lindberg AB, Sweden, is responsible for the personal data described here. Write to david@nakaya.world with any question about it.
Nyans itself
- Your images and clips are processed on your own computer, in the browser or in your editor. They are never uploaded.
- Nyans keeps its settings, the start of your trial and your licence in your browser’s storage, or in the plugin’s own folder in your editor. They stay on your computer.
The licence check
When you add a licence key, Nyans sends the key to Lemon Squeezy’s licence service with a short label for the install, such as “Premiere Pro, Mac”, and checks it again about once a week when you are online. Your IP address reaches Lemon Squeezy with each check. Lemon Squeezy answers with the licence’s status and the name and e-mail address on the order, which Nyans keeps on your computer to show whose licence it is. We do this to give you the licence you bought.
Buying
Lemon Squeezy, our reseller, runs the checkout as merchant of record. It processes your name, e-mail address, billing address and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, e-mail address, country and order details, and use them to deliver and support your licence, handle refunds and keep our accounts. We keep them for as long as you use your licence and as long as accounting law requires.
These pages
- The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page, to deliver it and keep the service secure.
- The fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- The site sets no cookies of its own. Your answer to the cookie question, yes or no, is kept in your browser so you are not asked again.
Where data goes
Lemon Squeezy, GitHub, Google and Meta may process data in the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
If you write to us, we use your message and address to answer you, and keep the conversation for as long as it helps us support you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, and ask us to correct or delete it, limit or object to its use, or hand it over in a portable form. Write to david@nakaya.world. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to IMY, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, at imy.se.
